The deck house is the first place we lived before we got married. I might have to claim that it was probably the best time of our lives. We can't believe we lived in a million dollar beach house in Hawaii at the poorest time of our lives. The view off the deck was amazing. We would always eat acai bowels for breakfast on the deck and check the waves. I even like the fact that it was pink. Oh and our beautfiul 4 Runner is sitting in the driveway. Man we loved that thing!
This was a typical chill. That barbeque rusted to pieces just like our 4 Runner!

I swore I would never live here but we did it for 6 months and it really wasn't that bad. I liked being close enough to walk to school and it was a lot cleaner than the Deck House where our carpets and drapes were always wet and salty!
Sadly, we had to graduate and move on from our little paradise. We moved to Gilbert, AZ to start our new life. We loved our apartment, and we had some serious life experiences and adventures, but it just wasn't for us. Way too crowded and built up.
This is our new place - Rocklin, CA. We've been here about a month but we love it already! It's totally chill here, green fields, open space, horses, cows, llamas everywhere. It is totally Mason Jennings country. We love our apartment. It's on the 3rd floor and we get a great view of the sunset and have duck ponds right outside our window. Awesome!

I'm so glad you guys are happy in CA. I can't tell you how close we are to packing our bags and never looking back. We'll call you next time when we're on our "have to get out of Utah" kick and drive to CA.

Wu Diggs and Eliza ... How the heck are you guys? Jeff props to you ... I could never imagine surfing north of Ventura County ... too sharky for me. Of course nothing can compare to my local surf spot ... the Chattahoochee ... watch out for the trout though ... they are very unpredictable. Looks awesome man!
You don't know me, but I lived in the Deck house while at BYUH back in 2001, when the deck was still painted blue lol(that pink is helarious), anyway, I was googling images of the deck house and the point in laie and I saw one of your picks pop up so I scrolled through your blog, I hope you don't mind. I have to say I am SO jealous! I miss waking up to the waves. Is the little walk way still there that leads to the ocean? Anyway, I was going to ask if you have anymore photos of the old place. I have not been back and I miss it a ton. oh, and Im not shady, your more than welcome to look at my blog. There just isnt a whole lot of people that have lived in that house. When I was there it was 9 girl roomates. yeah. crazy. I ended up married with a fam of my own, hubby is as BYU. Small world. Give me a hollar if you want. Thanks.
