Utah got dumped on with some serious powder! And we took advantage. P.S. Alta is for skiers. No snowboarding allowed!!!!
Three of the five brothers. Some might say "threeve"! You know who you are.
This picture will make Jeff pissed! It took my Dad and Peter and two screwdrivers to pry those boots open so he could get his foot in! Needless to say he rented a new pair after the first run. Mucho better!
I watched . . . no reason trying to help a guy!

Christmas
This year we went to Utah for Christmas with my family. It was super fun and super cold. We were just missing two of the brothers, but it was so fun to hang out with everybody else.
We got some sweet stuff. I hooked Jeff up with a Kelty backpacking backpack which he was stoked on. It makes him feel like a mountain man . . . so does his gun.

It's been a while . . .
I haven't really gotten around to blogging for the past couple of months. Life has been kind of a blur for us lately. Mostly just working 50 hours weeks, traveling for work, getting in car accidents, etc. Fun stuff! So here's a few random pics from our life lately.
Thanksgiving - We went to Merced with Jeff's family. It was soooo good to just chill for a couple of days, eat great homemade food, and hanging out with all our cute nieces and nephews!
Getting GEARED OUT!!! As Jeff would call it. He got into this outdoorsy kick a couple months ago and has been spending a lot of time at REI lately. He's constantly talking about backpacking in Yosemite (you know I'm always down to go), got himself a road bike, and last week I call him and he's in Reno buying a shotgun! What the heck? I've been super excited to ski in Tahoe, and been getting geared out with new ski clothes, and - happy birthday to me - a new mountain bike from my parents!
And of course we needed one of these to put all our gear in!

Tagged again...
6 unspectacular things about me are:
1) I set my alarm for an hour before I need to get up. Instead of just sleeping in, I like to know that I'm sleeping in. It makes it so much better.
2) I'm obsessed with sweat pants. I can never have enough of them and would wear them everywhere if my husband would let me. I mean you've got to have at least 3 colors of sweat shorts for when it's hot, sweat capris, and sweat pants.
3) Whenever I am near a See's Candies, I always get a bag with the apricot delight, raspberry truffle, and polar bear paw. This tradition started at Ala Moana Mall in Hawaii and I'm still in love.
4) I think the 40 hour work week is ridiculous and over rated.
5) I really hate the afternoon, specifically 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. I only like it when I'm at the beach or at the lake and it is really sunny. I love right after the sun rises and right before it sets.
6) The only reason I go to Mexican restaurants is for the chips and salsa. That's all I really want, but I just have to order so people don't think I'm weird.
So now I tag Brooke Babcock, Bobbie Jo Redondo, Jen Toone, Roxanne Foster, and Jessica Peers.

Hair Wars
So I was in a fashion show and they chopped off my hair. The theme of the show was "decades" as in 1920's, 30's, 40's etc. I was the 60's girl and Twiggy was the inspiration for my hair style. It's definitely the shortest my hair has ever been, and Jeff isn't too happy about that, but the show was pretty fun. There were probably 50 models and it was at a club in downtown Sacramento . . . kind of a big deal. Now my nickname has become Twiggy, Twigs, Twig . . . you get the idea.
Brooke was my moral support. Let's just say it wasn't my normal scene.

Why I like Bountiful....
Tag!
I was tagged by Brooke so here's what I have to do: take pictures of certain things exactly as they are at that moment without straightening up or changing anything. Luckily I cleaned the whole house the day before I got tagged....seriously.
1. Kitchen Sink
2. Toilet
Don't worry it was clogged last weekend for like 2 days. I had to use random public bathrooms until Jeff finally fixed it.
3. Laundry Room
4. Fridge
This is after going grocery shopping. I always wonder how I spend so much and my fridge still looks empty when I get home.
5. What is your spouse/kids doing right now?
The usual
6. Favorite Shoes
I'm not very good at shoes, I usually just wear flip flops. But I just got those furry Roxy shoes and am waiting for it to get cold so I can wear them.
7. Favorite Room
There's pictures of it in my earlier blog. It's the only room in my house that is decorated and has furniture.
8. Dream Vacation
I could get carried away here, so these are a few on the top of my long list....
Bali
Greece
Machu Picchu
9. Closet
This is a little out of control. I have to have things in order by color and the hangers all have to be in the same direction. And only white hangers, I hate if a metal hanger sneaks in there. I throw them away! I know, it's sad.
10. Self Portrait
This was back when I had long hair . . . don't ask.
Now I tag: Laura, Cheryl, Katie, Heather Norton, and Heather Steadman

I Would Rather Be Here.....
than pretty much anywhere else! I would definitely rate Lake Powell as my number one vacation spot on earth! And luckily I got to spend the last week there. What isn't awesome about it? Sleeping under the stars, all day boosting sessions, epic breakfasts, blue water, beautiful red rock canyons, cliff jumping . . . . Sooooo good!
Boostage!
The Lynn using his slaloming skills from the 80s
What we hiked through for six hours....
It was a great workout though.....
And don't think we didn't see wild horses!
Krissy, Sierra, Me, and Lynn
Might not be Hawaii, but it comes pretty close

Weekend Project
A couple of weeks ago I got really sick of my white walls and decided to decorate my living room. Me and my friend Brooke took a trip to my favorite furniture store, West Elm, and I got a coffee table and some decorations. Then we spent the whole day painting the walls blue and brown. It turned out great - I especially love the brown paint! So here are some pics of our hard day's work, however the pictures don't do it justice.

Bunko Night
A bunch of girls in our ward started a bunko night once a month. Notice how Bunko sounds suspiciously like Bingo... I think I am officially part of an old lady group, but it's cool. This month's theme was "The Rockin' 80s" as you can see by the amazing mohawk.
That's some serious hairspray
The night got pretty wild
